TIM HOWES, President
Tim comes from a successful lineage of master craftsmen builders from coastal Massachusetts. His great-grandfather, ZB Davis, is known as the "father" of Nonquitt, having built the majority of the summer colony's shingle style grand homes. Tim is also the great grandson of John Prentiss Benson, the noted marine painter and architect employed by the NY firm of Mckim Mead & White. Interested in the finance side of building, Tim began his career in real estate finance working in commercial real estate lending and valuation. Over the past 15 years, as a finance and strategy consultant, he has assisted organizations achieve a high level of success and profitability. In addition to his consulting duties, Tim is an Associate Professor of Finance in the MBA program at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI, where he designs and teaches seminal courses in finance and investments. Tim holds a Master of Science in Finance degree from Boston College and an Economics undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. On a personal real estate front, Tim has acted as general contractor on the construction of his home as well as orchestrating the rehab of other properties including his current residence.
JANE HOWES, Director of Marketing & Branding
Jane handles all marketing, branding and social branding for the firm. She was raised in Philadelphia and credits her distinct style to constant exposure to art, architecture and theater throughout her childhood. While Jane has a particular love for modern design, her passions and interests within the design world run wide. She credits her work experiences in NYC, Canada and France within the real estate, entertainment and marketing worlds for giving her a global prospective. As a member of the IKARIA Design Team, Jane enjoys creating living spaces and experiences that delight and inspire clients to live happier and healthier lives. Jane graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Theater.
MARK LAWTON, Director of Architecture & Design, American Institute of Architects, NCARB
Mark (Mark Lawton Architecture) is a licensed architect with over 20 years of experience in residential architecture. He draws upon his past experiences living in California, the Southwest, and Europe to create modern innovative designs ranging from sustainable desert dwellings to waterfront vacation homes. He is well versed in all areas of architectural and interior design, with an ongoing passion for combining leading edge technologies with timeless qualities learned from ancient cultures. Previous work experiences include Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Antoine Predock Architect, and Construct Internet Design as creative director. Mark has received widespread recognition for his work including features in several national and international publications. He graduated with distinction from the architecture program at Cornell University and was awarded the prestigious Eidlitz Traveling Fellowship to study the culture of Greece.
